I bought 2 Donutts for my machines. Used one today. A+++++ These should be included with every new machine.
I these baby’s arrived today , had a play with the them . 10 needle changed in as many minutes with the Needle Ease so ease to do in fact took them all out again just to have a longer play ( l know sad right 😂 ) brilliant tool just love it .
The engineering on both these tools is flawless Needle Ease and THE DONUTT also all my torx bits fit in the Donutt . Thank you Jerilee Medearis for my surprise and a beautiful produced product❤️❤️
Waiting patiently honest, while looking out the window for “ postman Pat “
“Needle Ease has left the building “

And winging its way to England .
One is very excited .
Like a big kid waiting for a new toy 👍👍
I just placed my Donutt order! I can hardly wait!
Will you post the Needle Ease out to the UK ?
What about the Hook Wash being a pressurized container ?
Thank you 👍
My Needle Ease is on the way. Thanks Jerri Lee. Pleasure talking to you.

Troubleshooting points to the Z motor. To swap it out means pulling the X rail off. If the Z motor is the issue, awesome! If not I'll be going through the electrical harness as the motherboard and X motor have already been replaced. The print head won't return to the home position... yet. ;)

Good times! I love this kind of work. It's fun to get deep into the mechanics and have the machine sing as a result. At least, that's the plan. Rock 'n roll playing, one printer happily making jars and the prospect of two working printers soon makes me a happy chick this Friday night. Hope your evenings are just as enjoyable! For now, CCR has me running through the jungle and not looking back. Yep. :)

Ah, I can THINK! Mayhem is being put to rest.

Glow In The Dark jars are on the printer. Later today they'll join the green and purple then all will become Buff Aways.

Buff Away: 3 diameters of emery cord (.012, .015 and .018) in two grits. The .012 diameter is 280 grit, the others are 200 grit. 39 inches of each cord is in the reusable jar. A nick on the needle plate? Emery cord. A nick on the upper thread hook? Emery cord. Burt on a tension disk? Emery cord!

$10 for 3 sizes of cord and a cool storage container for ... ??

Time to put the space in order. My brain can't handle the mayhem!

Today I had the honor and true pleasure of joining Kristine Shreve in her studio. Kristine's created a much-needed space in our industry. Topics that came up today included gender inequality - you know, how that door swings BOTH ways?? I believe my cohorts over at The Embroidery Nerd group, Jeff Fuller, Matthew L. Enderle and Justin Armenta will be speaking to it on Kristine's show in the near future. Rumor has it that they'll be joined by Erich Campbell who regaled us in Texas with demonstrations of being gender-assumed. We had tears running down our cheeks! I'll announce that show when it comes up too.

Kristine brings many topics and subjects to the forefront. You want to catch her show, it's a very good source for us out here in Embroidery Land.

Happy Stitchin'!

Just like on embroidery machines, sometimes the only path to the fix is troubleshooting.

The printer on the right has been down for months. There's no way to know which of the 3 part possibilites failed until you tear into it. It's not the X Motor. It's not the motherboard. It looks like the Z motor is the answer! Of course the X and Z motors are specific to their functions and the motherboard is too. I've now got parts on hand should either Ender-3 printer need them.

While I wait for the Z motor I'm moving on to the CR 10s printer which I bought used. The nozzle crashes into the build plate every time and there's no Z-stop to set manually. The new motherboard is going in shortly. I hope to see the machine print for the first time in an hour or so. The bigger the printer the more screws and plates to remove so a cup of tea is in order. My cup is sadly empty. That'll be rectified momentarily then I'm getting Biggee up and running. Hm. Looks like it just named itself. 🤣

One printer just never quits. The Donutt Caddies are finished so it's on to a fully articulated crocodile. Very cool stuff that's super fun to print just keeps coming.

I hope to share good news in a bit. Here's to a successful repair!

Well, I got some ghoul hands to print! I wear the glove when cleaning up 3d prints, it's there for size.

I need a different filament to print these hands well. Using the right tool for the job is always wise. 🤣

These are cute, time-consuming with the wrong filament and will be rare...lol!!

If you haven't met Adam Fuller you really really need to. This kid is talented and determined. Adam is someone to watch & support.

Adam digitizes. He cuts and sews his own hats. Adam makes Gi keychains. This guy is an Up And Comer. He's TEN YEARS OLD, folks. Ten Years Old.

Adam has a very supportive dad. You know Jeff Fuller, right? Then you know Adam has skillz, mad skillz, and he comes by them naturally. It doesn't hurt one bit to have that kind of talent guiding you!

Support Adam. He's my favorite Business Kid. Your support helps Adam get where he's going. It really does take a village. Mad Skillz too! 💓

When you make hats hat day at school levels up! Rocking my medieval hat first.

I'm bringing it home, absolutely!

The Embroidery Showroom is under construction. Large equipment is being moved out so large embroidery machines can move in. It's quiet out here but behind the scenes there's a LOT of activity. Big projects take big time. When a forklift is on-site to move the embroidery equipment in I'll be doing a LIVE. :)

I'll be training digitizers again and will be bringing in top-notch educators to teach as well. Wilcom and Hatch are the software platforms.

On a smaller note, a heat gun is arriving today. It's a tester model for one of the several kits being built. More on that later.

I'll keep you posted on the Inland Pacific Northwest showroom as things continue to progress.

Keep on creating!!

[09/23/21]   The ghoul hands are giving me a moment in the shiny filaments so I'm moving back to the plain boring PLA filament colors. I am also printing the hands bigger. Once I figure out how to separate the placard thing from the hands I can print more hands at a time. I'm printing two large sets now, one is spoken for. I'll share what comes off the printer in 15 hours. Yep, that's the print time!! 3D Printing: It's fun, it's inexpensive but it ain't fast... lol!!

I love perfection in manufacturing. It doesn't always happen though!

These two Needle Eases are 'scratch and dent' due to the marring on the pin holders. It's a natural flaw that occurs during the extruding of the stainless steel. It's supposed to be buffed out before the parts reach me but that didn't happen. I caught most of the marred pin holders but not all of them. These two Merry Berry tools are listed on the site for $60 instead of $65.

Get them while you can, this is a one-time thing!

Sauerkraut anyone?

So off-topic! But, if you ferment you're a kindred spirit.

It's another arm of SunFacer, fermenting is. And it's healthy too. 😉

09/22/2021

Well THIS happened... lol!!

I'm pushing too much filament through the extruder. Digging the look but it's hard on the nails of these hands as they don't print like I want.

Blue hands are printing now.

Plain cleaned up sets are $8.88 each. This is an example of the look. Painted ones are going to be around $14 each.

It'd be awfully fun to print giant sets of hands in glow-in-the-dark and place them at certain locations...🤣🤣🤣

4 new filaments came in. ;)

A new Sparkling Purple is in the house, it's a high-end brand so I suspect it'll print. When it does print well other Sparkling filaments will be brought in.

Glow in the dark filament is already here. I think the ornament is first, it prints flat and is like a puzzle. But the hands...lol!! Those are definitely happening today. I'll share the results. Yes, they are for sale. ;)

I've got something on the printer today that I'll need a few embroiderers to test for me when they're finished.

If you'd like to help me develop this new product by testing it, shout out to me and I'll get something in the mail to you on Monday. :)

These filaments will be printing Saturday. The Glow In The Dark prints white. The speckle intensity varies by the light source; electric light produces less bright, sunlight produces much more glow. The purple is a prelude to more glitter colors if this brand filament prints well. I've had my fill of cheap filament. Garbage on the printer sends garbage out the nozzle. :)

Today is a SunFacer day!

The show in Fort Worth was fantastic. I'm in a holding pattern on bringing machines to Northern Idaho. The intense work done over the nearly two years is paying off. Bright handled Needle Eases are about to debute. A new kit is being created for an industry need. I've been invited to speak before women as a leader, more as I know it there. I've a new vendor to announce in Texas and another coming on outside the States.

Today I'm breaking away and celebrating a friend's birthday. Tonight I hope to see you over at The Embroidery Nerd Group for our LIVE on what to consider when you buy machines and software.

See you then. Have a great day!!
