The passage of time sometimes freaks me out. Every Christmas feels a mere month apart from the last and yet last February can seem a lifetime ago. Sometimes the new year is an exciting blank slate and sometimes it’s an oppressive marker that asks you what the hell you even did in a year.

I spend a lot of time worrying about the future, I spend a lot of time being nostalgic about the past. How even is my relationship with the present then? Am I missing out on what’s in front of me if I don’t keep my down? Something I’ve come to realize this year is that all those happy past memories were once joyous present moments and *maybe* I was having a great time all along.

I’m *wretched* about taking photos of myself with my friends. I’m incredibly uncomfortable posing for photos, always have been, but I want to get just a little better about “living a life well documented” (credit ). Just a little!

Career things come and go, and while I’m incredibly grateful for that, I’ll remember my friends and family the most. So many of you have touched my life and I’m grateful to be a part of yours, if I am. Maybe next year we’ll have a photo together 😅. To all of you in my life, thank you.

As for what the new year means this year? I’m excited. Curious. Let’s do it, 2026.
