Dirty Q***r, coming again

Four years ago Dirty Q***r wound down, and that was the right choice at that time. Now, faced with an indefinite period of staying home and social distancing and feeling the isolation keenly as so many of us are, the right choice is to bring Dirty Q***r back. Our first online edition was a tender and tingly feast of poetry, prose and music, and it’s clear that we need this space again. So, here’s what that looks like:

A quarterly online curated open mic, which means you sign up ahead of time and submit your content for review, out of which no more than 9 pieces/performances will be chosen. This removes the anxiety factor of ‘who knows what’s going to happen/someone may do something egregious’ and also increases the equity of the content as BIPOC folks and other marginalized identities can be prioritized. The event will now be on the 2nd Saturday of the month to be more accessible around work weeks and the Sabbath.

An online journal featuring poetry, prose, and artwork. This is still in the brainstorming part of the process, but more information about this will be coming soon.
