We were excited to welcome Brigitte Shim, Co-founder of Architects to this past month! Based in Toronto -- home to one of our AAmp offices -- it was especially meaningful to host her in Maine, where our team had the opportunity to hear her speak, tour her project Congregation Bet Ha'am in South Portland, and share great conversations over dinner at .

AAmp’s principal, Andrew Ashey, serves as Board President of Architalx, a 40-year-old nonprofit lecture series based in Portland, Maine that brings leading architects, designers, and thinkers together for public talks on architecture and the built environment through the month of April.

Thank you for joining us, Brigitte!

Construction is in full swing at our Maplden Residence in PEC! This project adds new life (and new wing!) to a historic farmhouse. Set within rolling fields, views were carefully curated to capture the changing seasons. We’re excited to see it taking shape!

Lately, we’ve been thinking about our Bessborough project in Toronto. This detail—layered arches, soft curves, and carefully framed views — is one we’re particularly fond of. It captures the quiet moments of the home, where form, light, and material come together in subtle ways.

We're excited to share a glimpse into our recently completed Jones Commons project that was featured in the latest (Link in Bio).

This mixed-use project reimagines a 1950s two-storey office building -- originally designed as doctors’ offices -- through adaptive reuse and the addition of a new two-storey extension, stair tower, and garage. Looking forward to sharing more soon!

We’re thrilled to see Jones Commons featured in the latest issue of Azure Magazine ! Link in bio.

An adaptive reuse project in Toronto, Jones Commons transforms a 1950s family medical clinic into a layered live-work building supporting shared creative offices and multi-residential units. It reflects AAmp’s ongoing interest in how buildings can evolve over time, hold memory, and support thoughtful densification in Toronto.

Thank you to Elizabeth Pagliacolo and Azure Magazine for the wonderful piece!

Happy International Women’s Day. Today we celebrate the brilliant women of AAmp. Our studio would not be the team it is today without their talent, thoughtfulness, and incredible contributions to the work we do every day.

We are grateful to work alongside Alexia Hovis, Jasmine Sykes, Karina Steenberg, and Lena Ma, and co-founder, Anne-Marie Armstrong, whose creativity, care, and commitment continue to shape our projects and our practice. Thank you for everything you bring to AAmp.
