‼️I regret to inform y’all that this week will be the last week of ThiccBoi before we close up shop again.‼️
When I decided to reopen the food cart, I had no idea how difficult it would be. As chicken prices have skyrocketed and quality has dropped, it has become increasingly difficult to provide y’all with a consistent product. At a certain point the stress of running the cart exceeded the gratification and money that I was getting out of it. I’ve realized that this is not what I want to do anymore, so we will be closing very soon. I wish we could stay open longer for y’all, but between the extreme heat, the slim profit margins, and both me and my employee having scheduling conflicts soon, it makes the most sense for this week to be our last. My hope is that me and my family will continue to revive ThiccBoi in creative ways moving forward! But until then,‼️this Thursday-Sunday is your last chance to eat ThiccBoi!‼️Show us some love!
CLOSED FOR THE DAY DUE TO HEAT! Sorry but our food cart is a metal box with no AC and it’s unbearable in there with all the fryers running. Y’all should just go to or tonight instead. We’ll update you ASAP on if we’ll be opening for lunch tomorrow.

This I want folks to celebrate the freedom and liberation for Black folk, an ideal that we are still fighting for today, so many years after enslaved Blacks were allegedly “freed”. But to just celebrate would feel like a disservice, as Black folk continue to be oppressed in this country. I also want folks to consider how much resistance there was to the abolition of slavery. There was a time when slavery was an institution so powerful that many couldn’t imagine it would or could ever go away. But thanks to the tireless struggle of abolitionists of all races, those in power were forced to end slavery to preserve the nation (the source of their profits). Today, there is a new abolitionist movement calling for an end to policing and prisons, institutions that have failed to keep society safe and actively harm millions of Americans each year. Innocent Black folk continue to be disproportionately arrested, beaten, jailed, imprisoned, and killed by our so-called criminal “justice” system. Many folks continue to resist the idea of a world without police or prisons because they lack the imagination to picture a world in which ALL folks are protected by equitable systems of public safety and accountability. If you do not support abolition today, would you have supported abolition in the 1800s? Stop defending systems of oppression and celebrate Juneteenth by carrying on the spirit of abolition. Let’s create a better world within the shell of the old.✊🏾
