I'm moving my content over to substack, as I've been wanting to write more about art and disability. My first series will be documenting my Artistic Creation grant from the .council . Follow along as I develop a disability forward art installation centered around inclusive design.

Another out of body moment.... I was just awarded a major grant from The Canada Council for the Arts to work on a series of paintings over the next 6 months. I want to extend my gratitude to the jury and to .council for supporting my work. I am excited to get started and have this body of work shown across Canada.

A very spring like abstract landscape. I see many blooms and flowering trees.
Speaking of spring I'm in full cleaning mode, unfortunately for my housemates means pulling everything out of the cupboards and drawers and closets all at the same time.....

Just something a little different.... a palette cleanser. Every now and again I like to go back to something completely different to stretch new painting muscles and ideas. I usually dont work with analogous colors (colors close to each other on color wheel) but this one needed to come out. I think it's a landscape 😆

Our kids are back to school after their Spring break. While I always miss being able to stay in PJs until noon and not have to help them get ready for school, it's nice to have once again those long stretches of..... staring out the window haha. Otherwise known as creative composting.
I'll continue to work on these smaller pieces of my new collection in preparation to translate them onto large canvases. Also working on schoowork to finish my degree in general studies with a focus on art and disability.
What does Spring bring for you?

Two fun and funky plant forward paintings. They bith measure 12x12 inches on a 3/4 inch canvas, perfect for popping into a ready made frame.
🌿
These are from my 'Centering' series which looks at plants and flowers from their crown down to their roots, a metaphor for drawing back to our own centers.

Feeling a bit speechless over here that a major National bank has purchased my art to feature on a large wall in their corporate headquarters.
Many thanks to for championing the work of disabled artists.

A revisit of an older landscape style that I still love to create. I am submitting this latest landscape painting to for inclusion to their corporate catalogue.
I love using framing and interior suggestions from and have the paid version which is such an important marketing tool for me.

Have a great weekend everyone!
I am currently stuck under the cat and drinking coffee but the plans include more painting of course, visiting family, spending time with a bestie I've known for over 14 years, and doing a closet cleanout!
How about you?
