After I shot the preview event at .bend with , we had the idea of getting a bit more behind the scenes to see the smokers that Jordan and Mark use to cook their meat to perfection . This was super cool for me as I love learning about the whole process of each dish and getting to document this part was awesome!

One of these people I’ve known for a while now. The other two I just met. All are such incredible humans from their food to their personal values. One of the things I hope to do more of this year is tell the stories of the amazing people behind the creations I get to shoot. Being able to go behind the scenes of this collab between and .bend was so amazing. To see two creative minds work together to bring about something new was really amazing. And an added plus is that everyone on both of their teams were just the nicest most down to earth people. | Part 5: The Secret Garden. This final set of photos from my shoot at Cascada may be my favorite. This beautiful outdoor space has a sauna, fire pit, hot tub and rain shower. Honestly great any time of year!

| Part 2: Just a little taste (pun intended) of the delicious food options at Cascada. is located inside the resort and has the most delicious food and drinks. All of the food is made without seed oils and tastes incredible. They have made-to-order options like this avocado toast (easily the best I’ve ever had) and grab and go. I didn’t have the chance to check out their main restaurant but hoping to soon!

| Part 3: The Conservatory is a beautiful space filled with rare plants, daybeds and a warm vitality pool. The perfect place to sit back, relax and enjoy a book!

| Part 2: The Underground Thermal Sanctuary. This stunning space is a silent escape with 3 soaking pools of varying temperatures (hot, ambient and cold), a mineral pool as well as a steam sauna and dry sauna. The design is pure luxury and exactly what’s needed after a long day! and I got to experience this space after a 6 hour shoot and nothing felt better!

Part 1 of 5 | CASCADA: I recently got to experience the brand new wellness resort in Portland with - and I can’t wait to take you on a virtual tour through the space. First up is the room and lobby. The entire building is crafted with sustainability in mind. There are living plant walls throughout the entrance and the rooms are built with natural and healthy materials. They include convenient amenities to make the stay as easy and seamless as possible.
