Reserves ➡️ Active Reserves

LCpl Kale immediately jumped into active support time at his unit upon checking into the reserves. While serving there he knew that he wanted to do it full time. After a quick conversation we got him approved for a 4 year AR contract at VMGR 234. Continue to do great thing LCpl Kale.

Active Reserves is a little known component of the Marine Corps that offers benefits of both active duty and selected reserves. If you have any questions, give me a call.

Congratulations to GySgt select Varland for joining the IMA program.

SSgt Varland wanted to stay affiliated to the Marine Corps and wanted to try something new after doing the reserves for a few years. We found an IMA for a collateral duty he held.

LCpl Barcenas quickly knew that he wanted to join the AR program once he finished active duty support time at his reserve unit. He felt a strong call to the corps and has decided to go all in for 4 years.

On this Memorial Day, we honor the bravery men and womenen who gave their lives in defense of our nation. Their sacrifice is a debt we can never repay, but we can honor their memory by living with purpose and gratitude.

The Marine Corps Reserve Association salutes our fallen heroes. May we always remember the cost of liberty and the strength of those who protect it.

Let us never forget.

Lt. Gen. Anderson Testifies Before House Appropriations Committee

Lt. Gen. Leonard F. Anderson IV, Commander of Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Forces South, testified before the House Appropriations Committee alongside senior National Guard and reserve component leaders during an oversight hearing.

Anderson addressed the current state and strategic role of the Marine Corps Reserve in national security, emphasizing priorities including readiness, talent management, and ongoing modernization efforts to meet emerging global challenges.
