Such great news! Have you read Elizabeth Strout books?

I'm delighted that American Booksellers Association selected my new book, THE THINGS WE NEVER SAY, as one of their May 2026 Indie Next picks!

THE THINGS WE NEVER SAY tells the story of a chance incident that sparks a powerful realization in a beloved teacher’s life — a poignant meditation on loneliness, friendship, parenthood, and the importance of truth in a capsizing world.

On sale 5/5/26 and available for pre-order now 📚

I absolutely LOVE this author. Love the character development, the settings, the depth of writing, the tension. And the audiobooks are fantastic. Peter Grainger is a "many reads, many listens" favorite.

As publication dates approach, reviewers are beginning to put out their responses to the Smith and Kings Lake stories. I don't think I could ask for much more than this one from Matt Nixson of the Daily Express - but remember, all of you were there first!

I love small town stories - these friends wrote about growing up together in Aspen - it’s cool how their stories overlap and run parallel At times. Theirs are intense at times - coasting a Jeep down a mountain road? Hefty-bagging down a ski slope? Reminds me of the sorts of things we used to get tangled up in. It’s a fun read.
