Community Warehouse is your local nonprofit furniture bank, turning empty houses into comfy homes.
Executive Director Anna Kurnizki recently testified before Metro’s Supportive Housing Services (SHS) Regional Policy and Oversight Committee (RPOC) about the critical role furniture banks play in housing stability and the need for regional investment.
Regional investment in furniture bank services would align a currently fragmented system across Multnomah, Clackamas, and Washington counties and ensure our neighbors moving out of homelessness have the essential household items needed to create a livable, comfortable home.

A case manager brought donuts for our staff 🥲
Many case managers have told us that one of the most rewarding parts of their job is coming to Community Warehouse with their clients and helping them choose furniture for their new home.
We're so grateful for the case managers, social workers, and advocates who partner with us every day to help neighbors create safe, stable, and cozy homes. ❤️

We’re not crying—you’re crying! Okay, we’re all crying happy tears. Thank you to everyone who came out today to celebrate 25 years of furnishing homes. Since 2001, Community Warehouse has served more than 125,000 neighbors and redistributed 12,000+ tons of essential furnishings!

brings furniture banks from across the country together to strengthen practices, share resources, and elevate the importance of safe, functional home furnishings in housing stability and community well-being.
As a Founding Member, Community Warehouse is helping shape this new coalition and contribute to a stronger, more connected furniture bank field nationwide.
