Jetset Jill
I'm Jill Higginbottom — operations consultant and former Nike executive.
I build the systems, processes, and infrastructure that let ambitious founders grow without the chaos.
Taking a 3-year-old to a three-day music festival sounded a little unhinged.
And honestly? Parts of it were. 😂
But ACL ended up being one of those trips that changed how I think about doing the things we loved before becoming parents.
She had her own experience. We slowed down. We saw the festival differently. And some of my favorite memories from the weekend have absolutely nothing to do with who was on stage.
Would I do it exactly the same way again? No.
Would I take her again? Absolutely.
I put everything we learned — what worked, what I’d change, what we packed, hearing protection, stroller lessons, heat, Kiddie Limits and the stuff that actually mattered — into my Festival Mom Survival Guide.
Comment GUIDE and I’ll send it straight to your DMs.
Tiny prank huge giggles in the Pre-K era.
6 days until school starts. She has been plotting all week and this time it was with the glue.
Apparently one week before pre-K, my COVID kid decided to enter her prank era. 😭 There have already been three. We have documented evidence. And somehow Mom and Dad have become the subjects of her jokes. PRE-K PRANK ERA starts tomorrow.
I wasn’t prepared for Dolly Parton’s death to become a parenting conversation.
For most of my daughter’s life, Dolly has been sending her books through the Imagination Library. At four, she doesn’t understand the enormity of Dolly Parton. She understands that a package arrives with her name on it and Dolly sent her another book.
And now I have to explain why Dolly died, but the books may keep coming.
There is something incredibly beautiful about that.
Someday she’ll understand the music, the rhinestones, the businesswoman and the icon.
But her first Dolly will always be the woman who sent her books. 🤍
Did your kids grow up getting Dolly books too?

I spent a long time thinking that if I was grateful for the life I had, I wasn’t allowed to want a different one.
Turns out, those things can exist at the same time.
You can love what you built and outgrow it.
You can miss who you were and not want to go back.
You can become a mom and still be wildly ambitious.
You can have a good life and still know it isn’t the final version.
A few things I believe pretty strongly these days.
Which one are you with me on? And which one are you absolutely arguing with me about?

Keep showing up. When it’s easy. When it’s hard. Especially when you don’t want to.
The blending of business, body, community and home life means not having to miss critical family moments. However, I have to work really intentionally to carve out time for myself.
