I actually spent 2+ hours in a mall to avoid repeating an outfit for my company’s award show just to get back to La boutique de Angel (my closet 😅) put on a dress I already have and it eat up every one of those options I wasted my Friday off work for. 😭

Added a shawl and it completely changed the energy from the first time I wore it (swipe to see) — a beautiful reminder of why this journey to curb my consumerism is so absolutely necessary. Not letting the internet tell me anything other. 🦋

Nothing beats the smell of a fresh Christmas treee during the holidays. Literally my favorite part of it all. 😆

We did a thinggg ☺️ WE BOUGHT A HOME.

and I have spent YEARS praying and preparing for this. I mean paying off our debts, building up our credit, eating our weight in rice and beans, saving like our lives depended on it, and yes, even moving back in with my parents.

We said no a thousand times so we could finally say yes. And man, it feels even sweeter than we imagined.

God is so good, so faithful. Forever grateful to our village who cheered us on when we felt discouraged, reminding us to believe. you’re a real one 🙏🏾 thank you for partnering with us—since day 1, too! You really empowered us as first-time buyers.

To anyone reading this who feels homeownership is too out of reach: we started this journey in 2021. It’s now the end of 2025, and we’re holding keys to our very own home (in our 30s might I add!) It is possible. Stay patient, stay focused and believe it can happen for you. 🏡✨

Way before you had this title, I knew deep down you would make an amazing father.

Godly, fiercely disciplined with a heart of gold. Your respect, provision and protection are all qualities that stood out and still do as I reflect on our first few years as parents.

You’re so freaking patience with Sun Son (and me 😅) You take your time with us and I’m learning from your leadership every single day.

Thank you for showing our little Black boy what fatherly love can be: Kind. Compassionate. Intentional. Ordered. Present.
