Completed Projects include: Love-Bomb Mural, Parking lot depave (4,300 SF) and redesign, Native Plant Learning Garden, Stormwater Rain Gardens, Street Trees, and an ongoing Neighborhood watch....and of course the occasional neighborhood party!

In 2009, We organized and created Our Happy Block. ‘OHB’ is a grassroots SE Portland Neighborhood Coalition formed to improve livability through volunteer projects and sustainable community design. ourhappyblock.com

I went to check on the pollinator plants today and the bees are enjoying all the beautiful blooms! 🐝 🌸
Thanks to all the volunteers who helped plant and for all the assistance and wonderful work at Our Happy Block - and Thank you for the pollinator kits and the positive impact you have on our 🌍!

Join us this Saturday: come to Our Happy Block! Volunteers, led by Depave, will plant around 375 plants! This planting is focused on helping the pollinators along with planting rain gardens to capture and clean parking lot stormwater runoff!
C'mon-let's improve the world!
-Location: 8040 SE Woodstock Blvd (Horeb Oromo Church)
- November 2nd (Saturday) 10am-1pm
* Lunch will be provided by Horeb Oromo Church! (We hear it'll be Ethiopian food!)
The Xerces Society granted Our Happy Block with 186 pollinator plants and Depave is providing 172 plants too!
We are grateful. And so are the butterflies!
