What started as a photo of a BMW winding through the vineyard turned into something completely different. Pixel shifting is one of those editing techniques that blurs the line between photography and digital art. Every stretch, bend, and curve is created from the original pixels in the image, nothing is added, just carefully reshaped.
The finished piece might look effortless, but this one took well over an hour to create. It’s a slow, meticulous process of moving pixels a few at a time until the flow feels natural. It can be tedious, but seeing a photograph evolve into something that’s both real and artistic makes every minute worth it.

Pixel shifting is a fun Photoshop technique where you take the actual pixels from an image and stretch, warp, and reshape them to create a new perspective or movement within the composition. Instead of adding something artificial, you’re using the original photo data and manipulating those pixels to guide the viewer’s eye.
For this Lamborghini from the Cars & Corks event at Tumwater Winery, I took the pixels from the car and extended them up the vineyard road, creating a sense of motion and making the car feel like it was flowing through the scene. It’s a mix of photography, creativity, and Photoshop technique that lets you push an image beyond what was captured in camera.

There’s something special about standing where Ansel Adams once stood, seeing Yosemite through the eyes of one of history’s greatest landscape photographers. 📷
I had the chance to join the Ansel Adams Photo Tour and visit several of the iconic locations that inspired his legendary images. It was an incredible experience learning the history behind each scene while creating my own photographs from the same viewpoints. A reminder that some places never stop inspiring, no matter how many times they’ve been photographed.

The Wapama Falls Trail is one of Yosemite’s most scenic hikes, featuring bridges over roaring waterfalls, stunning reservoir views, and unforgettable scenery. A must-do if you’re visiting Yosemite National Park!
We joined a photography tour with the Ansel Adams Gallery in Yosemite Valley and learned how to see this incredible landscape through the eyes of one of the all time great landscape photographers. From composition to lighting, it was an unforgettable experience that gave us a whole new appreciation for Yosemite’s beauty.

Standing inside a giant fallen sequoia was one of those Yosemite moments we’ll never forget. 🌲 It’s incredible to think these trees can live for thousands of years, and even after they fall, they continue to inspire everyone who visits. Nature has a way of making you feel very small in the best possible way.
Have you ever walked through a giant sequoia?
First time paddling Olallie Lake in Oregon. Gorgeous spot, water so calm and clear it barely felt like paddling. Only bummer was we couldn’t swim since it’s the drinking water source for the area, so had to admire it from the board instead. Still one of the prettiest lakes we’ve paddled so far.
