AS IS Church - Wednesday nights:

We believe God desires relationship with people but they think they need to get their act together before they can approach Him (or be part of a church). That means while we were out getting loaded, drunk, sleeping around, acting prideful, judging others, stealing, lying, living in fear, and all that – Christ died for us “As Is”. Similar to someone buying used car (you know we’re all like used cars, not in the original condition) off of an 82nd Ave car lot – Jesus paid the price for us (1 Cor. 6:19-20, 7:22-23). His life was given as a ransom for our souls. Our response is to receive His gift, “As Is”, and sign the title of our lives over into His name. That’s when He begins the restoration project! He rebuilds the motor of our hearts and renews our minds (Rom. 12:1-2). He straightens out the alignment of our lives (Psalm 119:105). He wrote the owner’s manual instructing us on how to live, manage, and thrive in a broken and hurting world (Bible). When He takes ownership it changes everything! He transforms us – from the inside out! We appreciate your prayerful support for the upcoming launch of “As Is” Community Church. Our target area will be North/Northeast Portland. Youth Group IS happening tonight!
We know the newsletter said otherwise, our mistake. Youth Group is on tonight starting at 5:30 with dinner.
We'll dig into what it looks like to have Jesus at the center of your life, then wrap up with a game. Come hungry and bring a friend.

Loving a young person well doesn't happen in one big moment. It happens in the small, steady ones.
It's a Tuesday night Bible study where a teenager finally asks the question they've been afraid to ask. It's Sunday youth group, where showing up week after week starts to feel like belonging. It's a mentor who remembers the little things, who checks in just because, who sticks around even when it's hard.
At AS IS Church, that's what we're here for. Not just programs on a calendar, but real relationships. Not just teaching, but presence. We want every young person and every family to know there's a place where they're known, where someone will show up for them, and where they're loved without conditions.

Today we asked coach and mentor Anna Glenn what she is thankful for and she said she is thankful for music, people that push her to meet her goals, and her health.
We sure are thankful for Anna who loves the youth we serve and invests not only work time but a lot of her own personal time to mentor and care for them.

The school is hosting their back to school night tonight, so the front parking lot is full. Do not use the front parking lot. You need to park in the back.
📍 Head to 18330 SE Stark St (La Tapatia)
⬅️ Go to the left side of the building (East side)
⬆️ Go behind the store
🔵 Look for our Underground circle sign on the fence and enter our driveway
🅿️ Park in the lot and head to the door on the left side - it will be open
