I was out getting photos and aerial footage ready for two upcoming listings in Mexico, Maine and it got me thinking about how some Maine towns ended up with names from around the world.
Previously known as Holmanstown, settlers chose the name Mexico in 1818 to show solidarity with the Mexican people who were battling for freedom during the Mexican War of Independence. Youโll see it across Maine with towns like Paris, Norway, Peru, all tied to global events that left their mark locally. Itโs that same sense of community and support that makes towns like these such great places to live.
Real estate and a little history lesson all in one day. Not bad! Happy Cinco de Mayo!

๐ฅถ It was 23ยฐ the other morningโฆbut the real estate market is heating up!

Most last 8โ12 years, but with a little maintenance, you can often extend that and save money long-term.
๐ One simple stepโฆcheck the anode rod. It corrodes so your tank doesnโt, helping protect the system and extend its life. A quick check every few years can go a long way toward avoiding early replacement and keeping things running smoothly.

I had the chance to catch one of my clients rocking out with their band on Friday, such a great night and seriously impressive talent! ๐ค

Got out today to enjoy Maine Maple Sunday ๐
One of my favorite traditions! Stopped by Cole Farm Maple in Dayton and it did not disappoint! Received a warm welcome with some amazing vanilla ice cream with fresh maple syrup ๐ฆ๐ and of course left with plenty of syrup plus a bunch of other goodies and treats!๐
Days like today remind me why Maine is such a special place to live!

Happy first day of Spring! ๐ทโ๏ธโ๏ธ
Psyched its Spring, but walked out the door this morning wearing a snow suit, spring jacket and t-shirt....just in case! Expecting snow, rain, then sun and 60's...then maybe a snow squall!
All four seasons before lunch! ๐. Am I wrong?
