When I get home from work, I technically don’t have to drive across the sanctuary property… but I often do anyway. Sometimes I need a smile. Sometimes I need a laugh. And sometimes I just need to check in with my turkey friends. 🦃😂
The turkey call gets me every time. 😆
Yesterday was one of those sanctuary evenings where the second I got home, the driveway was full of bananas thanks to Diane 🍌💛
Too many to waste, so I went straight into action mode. Dehydrator full, oven going, trays everywhere… turning bananas into future snacks for our residents.
After that, I walked the dogs, wandered the forest with the kids, took in some quiet reflection, then made the evening rounds and fed everyone.
Just an ordinary kind of magic around here. 🍌🌲
