A customer with aDyna Hiace camper gave us an alternator to install. Identical case and plug, after install we got 17 volts charging and almost no amps. After hours of research and testing we eventually removed the part and found the old part was internally regulated and the new part was designed for an external regulator. After 10 hours and swapping some internals, it was finally fixed. Long story short, we’d always rather supply the parts.

If you drive a JDM vehicle just know all your parts coming from overseas will see these tariff hikes. These rotors for a have cost $82 plus shipping. We were hit with $100 of import fees with them. Every purchase will come with a copy of the tariff cost so you know why it’s now a $100 or more per brake job, timing belt job, ect. The cost of owning something unique in America is becoming more unrealistic everyday it feels like.

Had a L300 come through with a strange over heat concern. Year after a cylinder head and updated cooling system customer complains after a long drive the van will over heat under moderate load at slower speeds, starts to bubble over. No signs of head failure, no leaks, good flow. Inspected and the radiator and the condenser in front of it was completely clogged for air flow with grass seed. Put a large fan in front of the van and no air flow can be felt on the back of the radiator. Be careful what you drive through!
