Another Cryptic for the Challenge!
The Rakdaka
This is a most elusive creature that is only rarely ever seen. This three foot long, rodent-like mammal lives in Southern Oregon in the Siskyou Mountains in heavy forest growth. It is, as far as can be known, a ground dwelling omnivore. Nocturnal, it is believed to use its tusks to root out insects, amphibians, and the occasional snake. The most unique aspect of this creature is its independent eyes. Much like a true chameleon, the Rakdaka can use this feature to continually scan the forest for both potential food as well as predators. It’s believed the keen awareness accounts for it being seen so rarely. Little else is known of these creatures, but it is believed they are much more common than witnesses’ sightings would indicate.
HEY FOLKS: YouTube is not allowing us to stream - so we’re pivoting to Twitch! It’s Nick’s account, so you’ll be seeing Modulus Props as the name. We’ll be live soon here:

Another successful Dark Arbor Lodge meet yesterday. Our resident mixologist did an amazing job of offering her most extensive list of drinks options yet. Raiden Gorby regaled us with tales of Taiwan, some now requisite 3D printing chatter, and so, so much more. One heck of an amazing, creative gang!

Another largely undicipherable Dark Arbor Lodge meet. Too much to even recount here. Tech talk, show and tell, and a head with a giant tongue; it was…tasteful? Much fun was had by all.

CRYPTID CHALLENGE! Here’s the Cascadian Sphinx! The sphinx is found in a limited high altitude rage from the Southern slope of Mt. Hood to the north face of Mt. Jefferson here in Oregon. Nocturnal and likely arboreal, the Cascadian Sphinx, or “Hoody” as it has been nicknamed because of its sightings on Mt. Hood, is sighted mostly by campers at night when Hoody approaches camps in search of food. While some of the sightings are no doubt misinterpreted raccoon sightings, the description of the very human face of the Sphinx is always the same. Witnesses all claim a relaxing effect when first spotting the sphinx. The creature never runs off, but merely stares at the witness. This is said to have a mesmeric effect on people, putting them into a very foggy almost hypnotized state. Witnesses remember little or nothing after that. They later wake from their situation with no sign of the sphinx anywhere. But all witnesses claim a strange calm feeling of inner spiritualism after the encounter. Hoody seems to have a largely euphoric effect on humans. Little else is known about this unique creature and its habits.
