3 weeks ago, Tiny Dance Life lost our board member, Carl Smith. We feel incredibly grateful to have had Carl on our board. He was kind, generous,compassionate, supportive, and cared so deeply about dance education in our community. And beyond all that, he was an incredible percussionist who always knew exactly what a song needed.

Please join us this Saturday 3/28 at Hoku as we come together to celebrate Carl’s life and legacy. There will be a sliding scale cover, with all proceeds benefiting the JWF Musician Health & Services Program. Let’s honor Carl the way he lived! Music l Community l Love

Tiny Dance Life is so grateful for our incredible partnerships across the greater Portland area! We just wrapped up another wonderful term teaching dance through the CAS Program at KairosPDX.

“Community Action Sessions (CAS) aims to expand access to quality enrichment opportunities for our KairosPDX leaders through creating direct access to the rich and diverse learning in the areas of Health and Wellness, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), Arts and Culture, and Service Learning”.

We couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunity to work with such amazing leaders and staff.

The new school year is off to a great start! 💚

Tiny Dance Life is excited to be jumping into it’s 5th year offering dance in school’s throughout the greater Portland/Metro area! We feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to share our love of dance with our amazing community! Let’s go 2025-2026!

Tiny Dance Life is excited to announce a new partnership this fall 2025 at a Preschool in NW Portland called Scuola Italiana di Portland! We are so grateful to get the opportunity to learn and implement traditional Italian Folk Dancing into our weekly dance classes for preschoolers, while being immersed in this beautiful community! 🇮🇹♥️

Tiny Dance Life had the absolute joy and pleasure of teaching dance to 85 students for a 4 week summer school program. This past week, each grade 1st-5th performed a short dance piece for all of the faculty, staff and their peers. I am beyond proud of their bravery, enthusiasm, and positivity. The energy in the room and support while each grade performed was magic! I feel so fortunate to be a part of this beautiful community. Continue to support arts programs in schools!

“In our CAS session, Tiny Dance Life, kindergarten leaders have begun learning concepts of music, rhythm, movement, and grooves from our community partner, Ms. Molly. So far, this upbeat, encouraging class has supported our young leaders to feel free to express themselves using their whole bodies! We are already seeing our 5 and 6 year-olds growing their confidence to dance in their own style while taking inspiration from others’. We can’t wait to see their choreographed moves as they practice through winter and spring!”

Thank you to Jordan D. Schnitzer, Kerry Tymchuk, Megan Lallier-Barron and everyone involved for putting on such an awesome open house at the Oregon Historical Society yesterday! It was an event filled with amazing art, delicious food, and happiness all around! Cheers!
