Just a reminder that the Borough is sweeping the streets April 23 and April 24 so if you have sidewalks, driveways, even the edge of a yard that has cinders piled up from the winter sweep, blow or rake them out to the street edge for the sweeper. NO yard debris as it clogs the sweeper and then delays the time sweeping.
There is no parking on Borough streets between the hours of 8am and 5pm to allow the sweeper to get right up along the curb edge. Please find alternate parking on these 2 days.

Well Portland here we are again.
Someone is dumping something they should not down the their drain. Over the last month the waste water plant numbers have been all over the place, with no clear path as to why until this morning. By chance one of the technicians happen to be at the plant doing routine samples when the milky white looking substance was witnessed yet again in the influent line coming from the residential and small business portion of the Borough. There are 2 distinct manholes. One from the Borough side and one from the Industrial businesses on Demi Rd.
Sample were taken, again these samples are costly. IT NEEDS TO STOP! We are all users of the system it is time to take responsibility and realize that ANYTHING you place down the drain that is not water from washing dishes, your hands, toilet water, shower water, washing machine water should not be going down the drain.
ABSOLUTELY NO heavy cleaners, solvents, paint, cooking oils, grease, etc.....
