Why This Portland Food Truck Will Never Go Brick-and-Mortar While many cart owners have tried to graduate out of the mobile food business, Jeremy Hansen and Becca Russell, owners of the Pidgin Hole, are in it for the long haul

Do you live in a large apartment or condo complex where many people are expected to be working from home over the next few weeks?

Our group of popular PDX food trucks is looking for places to offer lunch and dinner to those hunkering down at home.

Most of the trucks are small, family-owned businesses who usually visit corporate office parks and are looking for ways to survive this period. They are all taking extra proactive measures to minimize risk during this time.

We see the food trucks as a safer option than indoor restaurants as food is only handled by one person and there is plenty of open air.

Please let us know if you know of somewhere we should consider!

To Our Supportive Community,

At Suburban Events, and on behalf of our entire food truck fleet, the health and wellness of our community, customers, and employees is our absolute first priority.

Like you, we are concerned about recent developments surrounding COVID-19, also known as coronavirus, and we are committed to taking proactive steps to minimize risk.

Here are the precautionary measures that will be mandatory for all trucks.

- Anyone who is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, or has been in contact with someone with symptoms, will not be permitted to work on the truck.

- Shared condiment bottles are discouraged and will not be permitted unless sanitizing wipes are provided in order to allow for disinfecting before & after use.

- Disinfectant wipes will be provided for use when credit cards and/or payment processing machines will be passed between customers and/or food truck employees.

- Common exterior surfaces that are touched by customers are wiped down with disinfectant at least every hour.

- Truck owners will post a sign on the truck to communicate any additional measures they are taking to minimize risk.

We'd also like to take this time to thank our loyal customers who greatly understand the importance of supporting small local businesses. With all large events being canceled, the lunch programs are the only source of income for many food truck owners and their employees during this time. If your office remains open, we'd love the opportunity to feed you and your colleagues for as long as conditions remain safe!

Sincerely,

Liz Werner
