No Fonts Given

The bf told me that I need to relax and stop worrying about life stuff today (oops)…so I spent the day learning how to use a vintage sewing machine, painting plant hangers, making pompoms and doing another lovely tutorial. Productive but I think still a pretty relaxing day all in all!

Despite feeling totally and completely fried, doing procreate tutorials has become my own form of art therapy these days. It’s a good feeling to make something with no pressure or expectations attached.

Apothecary...inspired by the myriad of medications (and booze other coping mechanisms I’m sure) we’re all relying on to get us through this s**tshow with some semblance of our sanity intact. I’d apologize for not being cheery but let’s be real, we’re all feeling it these days, right? (And if you aren’t, uh, where have you been? 😂)

May her memory be a revolution… I just watched ’s live about not succumbing to despair over RBG’s death and wanted to share some cliff notes of she talked about with a little added info. Frankly, it’s so easy to want to crawl under the covers and never come back out, but we’re stronger than that, and I refuse to let these authoritarian as****es take away the good things we’ve all worked for. I’ve been super creatively blocked and overwhelmed with -everything- for the last 2(5?) months. I have about 20 pieces that I’ve started and almost finished, or sketched out, or in some other state of half completion...but I’m hoping with this week of actual, grownup vacation time that I’m taking this week I’ll get to reset my brain and creativity a little bit. Starting it off by finishing this piece from last month...wish me luck on this journey!

Finding myself missing sitting out in the sun – or, hell, even the rain – and just enjoying the feeling of being outside. Earth Day just hits different this year.

Let’s be real, I’ve always been a kinda gal but now that it means potentially saving lives? I’m allll about it. Hope everyone is hanging in there and hasn’t run out of toilet paper yet!

H is for *omg for the love of god, people PLEASE STAY HOME!*

I’m tired, anxious, and grumpy at the people crowding the beach and hiking trails and parks and having people over. Stocking up on food and staying home is totally negated by doing this, the whole point is to go 2ish weeks socially isolated (or as minimal interaction as possible) to cut down on the rapid spread of this damn Coronavirus. Please, do it because if Italy and China are any indication, s**t is gonna get real real and we need to do everything we can to lessen that 😩
