The Better Cheesecake — Pixels + Crumbs Welcome 2022! I’ve seen a lot of complaining and griping about 2021, but honestly for me it’s been one of the best years of my life. My granola business seems to be a good fit for me in so many ways. I’ve learned so much in the past 8 months about bringing a product to market, and I’ve met s...

Cheesecake! I made this cheesecake for the new year and have a new post on the blog today with the recipe. I named it “The Better Cheesecake” because, well, it’s better than the one I had been making. It’s a recipe adapted from and it’s absolutely delicious! I topped it with some blueberries and cherries I had in the freezer from last summer’s harvest. It’s nice to bring some of the summer into these dark days of winter.
I hope your new year has gotten off to a good start. Pretty good here but Omicron has kinda thrown me off a bit, hopefully we’re done with this in a couple weeks and nobody gets too sick, because everyone seems to be getting it these days. I’ve still dodged the covid bullet at this point.
Anywho, wishing you a great new year. I’ll be busy on my business, I’m working on test recipes for a seasonal spring flavor granola! The gingerbread will be available until the end of winter season, I guess sometime in March.

Hello! Gingerbread Granola on Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. New post on the blog today and it features my small-batch granola and what the heck I’ve been up to! This season’s Gingerbread flavor is so good! I recommend it on vanilla bean ice cream. It’s a bit late for Christmas day orders unless you live in Portland, but you can still enjoy it next week while you’re (hopefully) lounging about in your pajamas or taking a walk on a wintry afternoon. Or just munching on it right out of the bag at your desk. lol
I have a promo going on now with 10% off all orders through the end of the year with promo code SAVE10

Hi Friends! Well it’s been a while since I’ve posted. I’ve been busy working on my granola business, Good Day Granola! I found a commercial kitchen to bake in, it’s a plant-based kitchen so it’s a good fit for me. I got my food processing license from ODA as well, so all this opens more opportunities to sell, and sell online! I finished the website over the weekend and you can purchase online for shipping or local delivery (NE Portland only). There’s a 10% code for today only. CYBERMONDAY21 at gooddaygranola.com
I’m hoping to get a blog post up soon, it’s been so long and I’m missing that space a bit. Plus there’s a great recipe I want to share with you. You can also follow along my other instagram account for more updates on my granola adventure!

Here's the link! Recipe for a quick Sangria
Tastes Like Sangria — Pixels + Crumbs Tastes like sangria. That’s what I said to Jeff when I first made this. I bought some Aperol a while back, maybe it was for a David Leibovitz cocktail, 🤔 not sure, but I’ve been making this refreshing cocktail that tastes like sangria! I really like Aperol, it’s similar to Campari but not a...

Tastes like sangria. That’s what I said to Jeff when I first made this. It’s very refreshing especially on hot days like what we’re experiencing this week. And sometimes you don’t want to make a whole pitcher of Sangria, maybe just a glass or two, and this works great! Wine, Aperol, Apple Brandy, Lime, Seltzer. New post on the blog with recipe and more photos. Link in profile. Stay cool friends!

Summer cheese board. I made a couple of these a few weeks ago when we had a farewell get together for one of our neighbors. I had a market earlier in the day so it was nice to have something simple and fun to put together later in the afternoon that didn’t involve a lot of cooking. These are especially nice in the summer because it’s generally hot and you don’t have to deal with the stove. This is from the archives, the post has some cheese suggestions but it’s really up to what you like. Just thought I’d share and say hello! Off to make more granola. 😃

New post on the blog today with this Creamy Mushroom Pasta dish. The mushrooms are grown by right here in Portland! One of the great things about being a vendor at is discovering all these food treasures. More photos and recipe at the link in my profile. Oh, and this is a one-pot-cooking recipe! Enjoy!

Good Day Granola! I’ve been making this granola for several years now, it’s something we’ve enjoyed and has always been better than store bought granola. Light, crisp, sweet, spicy and lots of nuts! I’ve packaged it up and look forward to sharing it with you.
I’m selling local in the Portland area right now. While it’s currently not available for online sales, I’ll update this page when that happens!
I’ll be selling granola this Saturday May 22nd at a makers market in NE Portland with other makers of things. I’ll have samples available for you to taste and hope to see you there!
