Several years ago I wrote and illustrated a playful little book about sheep. I just received this from who gave the book to her niece as a gift.

It's been a long journey, but HSS HAS MOVED!!! 🏡 Now the studio is located in a sweet little "Garudio" in Northeast Portland. I think I like it here even more than our wonderful space in the Olympic Mill building. Thanks to my my dear lifetime friend Jennifer, who joyfully invited me to rent her Garudio, I am now a dog-walk from home, the space is bright and beautiful, I hear birds, wind chimes and a bubbling fountain while I work and I have a lovely patio on which to eat my lunch. I'm back in business, in a whole new way! @ Portland, Oregon

This was a complicated and rewarding project. Clamshell box with photo drawer and case bound book showcasing 5 generations of family photos. Gratitude for , she called for "help" on this project and it turned into something much bigger and more rewarding than we (and our client) could have ever imagined. Glad it's over though! Whew!

I had such a fun day today, teaching the finer details of hand bookbinding! She has the knack for it, I have no doubt that you'll be seeing many binding projects pop up in her feed.

I'm always so impressed with thoughtful gifts. This is a 30th birthday present, a collection of thoughts and memories from friends and family, commissioned by a sweet guy for his sweet girl. Oh to be the lucky recipient!!!
