Luckily he has plenty of actual toys to chase, gently carry around, and bring to you as little gifts before crashing next to you on the couch. (Yes, he really does this. He’s precious and knows the value of a proper offering!)

Come meet our new-ish arrival from Marion County Animal Shelter, Briggs, at our Adoption Center tomorrow (Thursday 6/18) from 2:30-6:30PM or until adopted.⁠

Briggs is one of the sweetest boys you’ll meet, and he made that known almost immediately by falling asleep in a volunteer’s arms on the Adoption Center couch right after he arrived.⁠

This established gentleman loves humans and other dogs, but he’s also perfectly content taking his alone time. A true man of balance.⁠
⁠
Stop by to say hi, get some dog time, and perhaps fall in love with a boy you just met.

Cricket and Devo have inherited a small cheese fortune and, unfortunately, no one has brought it to them yet.⁠

Both are adoptable and hoping their Good Life includes snacks served promptly and with the respect they deserve.

She's still getting used to all the sights and sounds of the city. In the meantime though, she’s content soaking up the good stuff from the yard or the deck, where she can take in the world at her own pace.

After 6 years and wearing many different hats, our Operations & Programs Director, Emi, is making a shift — and over to none other than the Brooklyn Yard Veterinary Hospital - Portland / Spruce Veterinary Urgent Care teams! We couldn’t be happier for Emi’s new venture, more excited to still be connected, or more grateful for her hard work and dedication over the years.

Starting as an events volunteer and quickly becoming our lead adoption counselor, Emi was one of our first full time staff members to join the team. Instrumental in helping us grow, particularly during covid, from the all volunteer org operating out of garages and basements to what we are today, Emi has directly processed the adoptions of 371 dogs and had a hand in 1,775 others. If you were one of them, join us in giving her flowers.

From keeping the trains running on time to keeping us sane, Emi: your time at OTAT has been incredibly impactful. Thank you for making us better.
