Time for a #flashbackfriday highlighting previous @OPB reporting. Last year, Portland tattooers @obritztattoos and @the_noble_mountain started the @voidtattoofest with the hopes of putting #tattoo conventions back in the hands of artists—giving a space for people not only come and get tattooed, but also for the artist’s themselves to gain much needed accreditation hours. @mortalemblem’s Olivia Britz-Wheat explained that tattooers in Oregon need 10 hours of continuing education credits to renew their license every year, and that can be hard to come by. “There’s very few seminars that come up, so it’s up to us to put them on for our community,” she said. The 2025 Void Tattoo Fest brought more than 150 artists to the Jupiter Hotel in Portland and this weekend will do the same. This year marks the 20th annual Portland International Raceway Auto Swap Meet where vendors from all over the Pacific Northwest, Canada, Alaska, California and other places gather, set up a table, and sell their wares mostly consisting of car parts, collectibles, custom items, antique toys, vintage signs and other memorabilia.

Oregon finishes up spring break this weekend with a few family-friendly events including the Gem Faire in Hillsboro and the Amity Daffodil Festival.
