Oftentimes low back pain or instability is due to a weak extensor chain.
The back extension is one of the best moves for building up back strength and increasing stability in the lower back.
I share how to set it up properly and a few key progressions for getting the most out of your back extension.
Most people miss hamstring strength when they’re trying to strengthen their lower back.
The hamstring roller is a great middle ground option for building both short and long range strength behind the knee for your hamstrings.

The elephant walk is a foundational move we use in ATG for improving mobility in the hamstrings. And eventually in the lower back as you get better at this and you’re able to get lower.
This will help you move better when you bend over to pick something up. Also give you more access to your hamstring strength which is crucial for lower back stability.
