A little life update

I was recently diagnosed with MS, specifically Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS). In November, I started to experience some weird tingling from my toes up to my ankles that would go on and off like a light switch when I touched my chin to my chest. After the tingling started to travel up to my lower back, I decided to get things checked out. My MRIs revealed that I have lesions on my c-spine, so the next step was getting a lumbar puncture. Tests on my spinal fluid confirmed that I have RRMS. I’m not in any pain right now, but other symptoms I’ve had are starting to make more sense. Next steps are an anti-inflammatory diet based on the Wahls protocol and I’ll begin intravenous treatment in a few weeks. The medicine will unfortunately make me immunocompromised, but the pro is that it’s super effective! It feels good to have a diagnosis and some more answers, but it is a shock to randomly find out that I have an autoimmune disease🤪 I’m so grateful I have health insurance and that I listened to my body! In other news, I’ve been working on lots of new music that I’m excited to share and I have big plans for this next project! I’ll be playing shows in Portland and Seattle this summer, and I’d love to see you there.
