I feel so lucky to have been in my hometown for the protest. It was incredible! Portland is such a silly and strange place. I’m so proud to have grown up in a city that will stand up for what is right, but their preferred form of combat is performance art and inflatable costumes.

I had such an amazing weekend in Portland! It was so nice seeing so many old friends and making so many new ones.

A million years ago, Ron Funches and I were two struggling kids trying to find our place in the world of stand-up comedy. He would come to my apartment and we would tape auditions. In between takes, we would talk about our dreams. We didn’t know what the future had in store, but we were always optimistic. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined that one day I would see my pal’s name on, not one, but two pairs of shoes! It’s surreal to say the least. All of that hard work paid off and nothing makes me happier.
