Our public lands and waters need your help. Over 190 million acres of National Forest lands, and the common waters that run through them, are at risk due to proposed changes that threaten their future—and that is a problem we cannot ignore.
We are proud to stand with our partners at The Conservation Alliance in calling on Congress and the Department of Agriculture to prioritize robust public engagement and long-term protection.
We are guides, paddlers, anglers. And we are committed to safeguarding the future of our Forest Service lands and the rivers that flow through them. Because for us—and for countless Americans—public lands aren’t just where we work and play. They’re who we are. Let’s keep them that way.
I took the 'lil kayak out last weekend and caught a few nice ones. The Slayer Propel 10 LTE may be small in stature but it's fast, nimble and easy to throw on the roof rack and go! @

I went to the river for my birthday, and the river was kind enough to loan me this smallmouth bass.

If you kayak fish, you've got to tether your phone to your PFD, or else you'll eventually lose it. I use a Robohawk tether but I don't like to use the rubber harness because it gets in the way of the screen and camera. I have an Otterbox case that includes a tiny spot to attach a tether. To attach the phone to my Robohawk carabiner, I use a YakAttack Retractor Tether. The thin line fits perfectly through the tiny attachment and the line is reinforced with monofilament. The bungee provides some give, in case the phone drops. It's the perfect solution. I just leave the Retractor Tether on my phone all the time.

In this video, I’m joined by Kegan Pankratz to put the brand-new Native Watercraft Hammer 1210 side-by-side with the Titan X 12.5 on the water.
I was part of the design team that worked on the Hammer, Titan X, and Slayer Propel LTE, so this isn’t a spec-sheet comparison or a quick first impression. We put both kayaks through a series of real-world tests to explore how they differ in performance, stability, efficiency, and overall feel on the water.
Rather than declaring a winner, the goal of this video is to show how differently these kayaks perform and help you decide which one best fits your fishing style.
