It’s been a hot minute since I’ve been on this account, and I’ll get into that soon; but I wanted to break my radio silence to say that I went to visit new brick and mortar on Gladstone and all I can say it’s going to be hard not to spend my entire paychecks there going forward. Pictured is a Za’atar spiced tofu sub with a delicious garlic and dill mayo. Thankfully for me I got in right before the lunch rush because shortly after I got my food the place was absolutely flooded! So wonderful to see a new vegan spot with such a strong first Saturday. I hope it keeps up!! I’ll be seeing you very soon!!

I was thrilled to donate some tasty vegan cookies for the Pretty Kitty Bazaar benefiting today at Taborspace! We stopped by and it looked like there was a huge turnout, which is amazing to see. We picked up this amazing bed for our cat, Astro, and I got these lovely sounding coffee beans by that I’m so excited about!

¡Feliz Latinx Heritage Month!
Portland City Council proclaims September 15-October 15, 2023 to be Latinx Heritage Month. The City of Portland is proud to recognize and celebrate Latinx Heritage Month every year.
The Hispanic and Latinx community is the largest community of color in the City of Portland and in Oregon, whose history and make-up is rich and diverse with many being Indigenous, immigrants, refugees, and descendants of Africa and Asia, who speak many languages other than Spanish as their first language.
The City of Portland is committed to supporting and strengthening our Latinx community through our ongoing partnerships, which foster cultural understanding and deepen our appreciation for the wide range of contributions our Latinx community brings to our quality of life in our community.
We celebrate, and welcome all to celebrate with us, and continue to support our communities as we build a stronger City through inclusion and unity today, and beyond. Si Se Puede!

This month Unicorn Bake Shop is running an ice cream novelties theme. I’ve heard good things about many of the flavors but this Choco Taco, one of my favorites from childhood, is absolutely exquisite!

With a friend visiting we took the opportunity to finally go check out the Saturday Market. I didn’t entirely know what to expect to see and it was a such a delight! There are so many wonderful artists and the all the mix of smells from the food carts reminded me of growing up going to the Washington County Fair in RI. I loved being by the river, maybe another consequence of growing up in RI that my mood lifts anytime I’m near the water haha! We got a super tasty lunch from Honey Thai, a cart near the market at SW 3rd and Washington. Lastly, we took our friend to see the Portlandia statue before I heading home to relax! It was a gorgeous day and it was lovely to spend some time downtown without having to rush around.
