Look at how fast these chickens have grown!! We are down to the last week with our chickens until we have them processed and can donate them to 5 different food pantries around Maine!!

Reminder that we are expecting donations of none perishable food that will be add to the donations of chicken. You can either bring your food to Falmouth extension office or contact us on Facebook to coordinate getting your food to us.

Or if it’s easier for you, you can make a donation to our PayPal or send a check. All the money donations we get will all go toward purchasing more food to donation.

We're entering the last two weeks of our project and the chickens are growing nicely! We have a Food Drive going on now through June 18th so that we can give extra food to the pantries when we drop off the chickens!

Exciting update!!

The chicks arrived this past week and we had 175 chicks delivered! The 4-Hers raising chickens came and picked up their chicks and any supplies and feed they need.

We would like to thank Brooks Feed & Farm Supply, Inc. in Brunswick, Maine for their donation of 20 bags of feed!

Thank you to Radio Grove Hardware & Feed in Raymond, NH for their donation of 25 bags!

We would also like to thank Lewiston and Windham Tractor Supply for their donation of supplies!

Hello everyone! We are extremely excited to announce that Chicken to Kitchen is back in business! We are partnering with Cumberland County 4-H to raise 180 chickens! This year we have 13 4-H families all across Cumberland County raising anywhere from 10-25 chickens for eight weeks. Then all the meat will be donated to about five local food pantries to provide Mainers in need with high quality meat! Also starting on May 10th we will be running a county-wide food drive to add to our donation to the food pantries (stay tuned for more info)!

With that being said we are also accepting donations that will go towards our county-wide project!

A special thank you to our sponsors Brooks Feed and Farm in Brunswick and the Windham Tractor Supply.
Donations will go towards:
-Ordering Chickens
-Processing of Chickens
-Supplies, such as: waterers, feeders, heat lamps, grain, and shavings
-Food Donations

*The donations will go directly to Cumberland County 4-H*

Due to the support and success of last year, we are beyond happy to start this project back up! Feel free to contact us with any question through messenger or email ([email protected]).

Thank you to the sweet seniors of Chicken to Kitchen! These three RSU5 students raised chickens to donate to local food resources as their senior project and we are here to say that this was a resounding success! Along with the 35 frozen birds, they also donated 181 non perishable food items to the pantry... way to go ladies!

05/11/2020

Today we officially donated 700 pounds of chickens that were raised for 8 weeks on our farms. On top of that, we also donated another 800 dollars of food. Thanks to the people that made this possible❤️🥳
we really want to thank you!
