An animated collage I made mostly using current news articles and clippings from vintage magazines. Included is an entry from the Diary of Anne Frank, the eyes of Sally Bowles from Cabaret, and Norman Rockwell’s portrait of Ruby Bridges.

Madysin on film! I got these back in October, but forgot to share. I really like how film makes the shadows so rich.

As the final leaves start to fall, I’m starting to miss the color 🍁 Luckily I have a few Ginkgo trees in my neighborhood still holding on.

These are from the in late October. I’m so glad we decided to go during Peak Fall- it was amazing.

I will say, I think there needs to be more etiquette education for professional photographers. The well-being of the subject(s), even if it’s just moss, needs to be taken into consideration. As well as one’s surroundings and other people. It was disappointing to see photographers be inconsiderate in a place meant for mindfulness. As a community, we need to do better!

If you have a chance, check out the Portland Japanese Garden! And appreciate respectfully.

The Witching Hour

did an amazing job helping me bring this vision to life. Set up, tear down, and shooting total time was about 4-5 hours. I wanted to challenge myself to create a background with rich colors and textures.
The mirror I bought at an antique mall makes another appearance! I like the idea of mirrors being a portal to another world, and using it as an aide in visual storytelling. I’m sure this won’t be the last time she makes an appearance!

I’ll be posting my favorites from this shoot throughout the week! :)

SHE’S DEAD, WRAPPED IN PLASTIC
Poster #4- Laura Palmer

Twin Peaks has a special place in my heart 💕 I really didn’t like it at first, and couldn’t understand why it’s so popular. It was on my second viewing (and some research) where it started to make more sense. And after watching Fire Walk With Me- I was hooked!! I was truly terrified. (I recommend highly, but only after watching S1 and 2 of Twin Peaks, if the lore matters to you.)
I see a lot of myself in Laura, and I’m sure other young women whose pain ‘slipped through the cracks’ do as well. Sheryl Lee’s expression of rage and suffering and fear is jarring and unforgettable. She is a queen in this house 👑

I’m working on a few other Twin Peaks tribute posters- any characters in particular you want to see? 👀

PLEASE, IM A STARRR
Poster #2 - Pearl

Although I didn’t care much for X, I really enjoyed Pearl! I thought Mia Goth’s performance was amazing. I still need to see Ma # # 👀

Portland Pride Parade 2025. I was walking around the floats with my boyfriend and we came across this very tender, intimate moment. These two stood there embracing each other and didn’t break or say a word. At a time when existing proudly is under attack, this moment felt important. Pride is a protest, choosing to love is a protest.

Second photo is the playing ‘America the Beautiful’ (or the National Anthem? I can’t remember haha) Both of these photos had an artifact, I don’t know what it’s called, but I like the layered effect.

Some photos I took of at the Animation Jam! It was a great turnout, and Brian and Amber were wonderful hosts. It was cool to see Ben at work; he animated for four hours straight! You can check out the animation on MOSMA’s page soon.

Animation Jams happen every month at MOSMA, and each time it’s a different stop-motion animator. Check out their page to learn more about the community they’re creating in Portland!
