To sweeten the thought, imagine the silence from people you’ve cheered for before.

When you’re working towards becoming a better you, much of the process is analyzing your surroundings and cleaning house. Either removing yourself from busted situations or removing busted people from your space.

I’ve said this before, Humble over Arrogance wins every time… however some people mistake people being humble for weakness and act accordingly. This is where knowing your worth or value comes into play. Believe you deserve better and walk away, disassociate, and keep pushing forward.

Sometimes going MIA is the best reset. It removes you from the noise to think clearly and find resolutions. For example, I recently decided to walk away from some things I thoroughly enjoyed because I was having to compromise who I am to stay involved. I abruptly pressed pause some things and abruptly left other opportunities entirely. My peace of mind was at stake. During this time, I had some people outside my core reach out to see how I was and what was going on. You have no idea how awesome that is to be thought of and that your absence is noticed. With that, Invest back into the people that actually care, not the people you want/hope to care, because these are your people. -Renzo

Let someone know when you see them happy and looking great. You’re building them up and I guarantee they will pass that feeling on to someone else.

This has happened to me a few times with , once I was tagged multiple times in posts about local brands needed for an event and was quickly dismissed by the organizer “I’ve never heard of it!”

I was half disappointed and half motivated… part of me knew there was a chance they knew exactly who Akepele was but then another part was like “I have to work harder...”.

Either way, someone has heard of you even if it’s a small group of friends. You have to keep pushing until the others come ASKING for YOU to be in the mix!!!

Trust me, I’ve been discouraged and wanted to quit many times and came very close each time… but something keeps me pushing, I truly believe Akepele is something special and has big brand potential.

Really think about this one. If you’re having an off day, it’s way to easy to transfer that energy to someone else. Take a moment to correct that.

Also, this one is really difficult for me but I’m trying…

Learn to deflect someone’s negative energy from yourself. I tend to take it personal and let it affect my day… this is a huge problem. Often times it’s a complete stranger that flips my mood. Stop giving away that power.
