We in Tall Static (Pat McDougall, Ed Pierce, Whit Draper and Jim Solberg) are feeling so grateful to everyone who came out to our show last night at the Blue Diamond! We particularly enjoyed supporting our special guest Vyasa Dodson as he performed several of his original tunes, and it sure seemed like you did too! The night was made even more outstanding by the presence of local heavyweights Chris Mercer and Ben Rice, who sat in with us on saxophone and guitar/vocals for a few songs. lt's always a morale boost when fellow musicians show up at gigs to support, so we loved seeing Kim Field, Marty Henninger, Scott Sargent and AC Porter in the crowd. Our sincere thanks to Sonny and Jamie at the Blue Diamond for having us, and to the incredible staff – Patrick, Bridget and JT – who always take such fantastic care of the patrons AND the band. Support live music and your local venues, folks – it's a win-win!

Ignore Pat’s grumpy face – everyone in Tall Static is super excited to play at Integrity Beer Hall tonight from 6-9PM! Integrity is located in the historic Porcelli’s Grocery building in John’s Landing, and their plentiful taps are complemented by the delectable offerings of 48 North Pizzeria, which we’ve sampled before and are flat-out wonderful. It’s a nice early start to your Saturday night wanderings and we’d love the pleasure of your company! C’mon out!

I’m not at liberty to say much, and this thing may NOT happen – the mad genius Chef Patrick is neck-deep in viability testing, and it may not pan out. But if it does – if it DOES, friends, it will likely serve as reaffirmation of a higher power. You will want to be able to say you were there for the debut of this revolutionary taste treat.

Tall Static – Pat McDougall, Whit Draper, Ed Pierce and Jim Solberg – is the core band on "In The Key Of Sorry," giving the album its emotional foundation and bringing the songs to life whether they call for bluesy shuffles, funky R&B grooves or tender ballad moods.

We send our huge thanks to the Cascade Blues Association – both its membership for supporting and voting for this project, and the CBA board and volunteers for undertaking the monumental task of producing the event again after a year without it. What an achievement to be doing it again!
