Our paws are in need of some vet and travel bill help. πŸ†˜This week on the 7th we are sending two lucky pups to Seattle to move into foster homes, and on the 13th sending another two pups to Portland to find their furever families. 🐾😍 However this process is getting more expensive every trip it seems, gas prices are rising, vet prices are rising, and even the airlines are raising their rates yearly. πŸ˜₯

To send Barbra, Dory, Jerry, and Lili to the United States it will cost $700usd in just cargo kennel fees. To get the proper documents and tests to fly to the USA it will cost us about $395usd. And finally the gas to get from La Paz to Cabo for two times is around $400usd with tolls included. Meaning our paws need to raise about $1,500 to fly 4 incredible pups to the PNW. πŸ•
All of these pups were found abandoned in the streets of La Paz, or on a farm land in Todos Santos and were entered into our program by community members. πŸ₯° Jerry and Lili were found starving on a ranch, and Dory was thrown into the streets of La Paz and had been attacked by other dogs before we found her. 😭 None of these pups had it easy due to humans, and even though we cannot change their past we can change their future. πŸ™
We have flight days for June 7th and June 13th. Meaning we need to raise at least half of these funds before June 7th. πŸ•πŸΎ

If you can find it in your heart to share daily our posts until this goal is met our paws would be forever grateful. πŸ•πŸ’™
And if you can afford to donate just a dollar it will go towards changing the lives of these 4 dogs, and helping them reach the final part of their journey. πŸ™

ALSO-- if you can help us in Cabo by fostering two pups the 7th - 13th and taking them to the airport the 13th it would save us about $200usd. So please text or whatsapp (+1) 541-401-3654 if you can help!πŸ πŸ•πŸΎπŸ™

Meet Toffee, an adorable 8-month-old puppy looking for his forever home! Currently weighing about 40 pounds, we expect this handsome boy to grow to around 55 pounds when fully grown. Toffee is currently in foster care where he has been charming everyone he meets with his sweet personality and friendly nature.

Toffee is a social, happy-go-lucky pup who loves making new dog friends and would enjoy having canine companions to play with, though he would also be happy as the center of attention in his own home. He loves chew toys, bones, and playtime in the yard, but he also has a wonderful off-switch and is always ready for a nap after a day of fun. With his energy level, Toffee would make a great adventure buddy for hikes, walks, and family outings, while still being content to relax and cuddle at home on rest days.

This smart young dog is kennel trained, walks beautifully on a leash, knows several basic commands, and does very well with children. He is eager to please, enjoys learning, and continues to learn more everyday in foster care. His loving personality and adaptable nature make him a great fit for many different types of families.

Toffee is available for meet-and-greets in Oregon, Washington, or California. All of Saving Baja Paws dogs come with a fantastic flexible foster-to-adopt option. This is a unique opportunity that allows your family to make sure it a perfect match with your new pup.

Toffee is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and current on flea prevention. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate, and fun-loving companion, Toffee may be the perfect addition to your family. His adoption fee is $250 to help cover his medical expenses and food costs while in our program.

This week our paws are being called to action near Todos Santos at Rancho Nuevo to help Javier and his pets. 🐾Javier is the owner of 9 dogs and 1 cat, and they are in desperate need of some flea medication and food. πŸ™ Our paws would like to raise enough money to give all 10 of his pets Bravecto and 3 - 4 bags of large food. Bravecto is a flea and tick preventative that lasts up to 3 months! This would be most ideal to be given as soon as possible as tick season is ramping up currently😭 In order to provide all 10 pets with Bravecto and food this would cost about 10,000 pesos -- 5,475 for the medication, and the rest would be used for dog food. πŸΎπŸ• We know times are tough, but they are even tougher for those in rural areas, so we are asking for even just a dollar to help Javier and his pets. He really loves each of them and is caring and providing for them as much as he can -- and sometimes we all just need a little help. So please help us raise 10,000 pesos/ 580usd and give back to our neighbor. πŸ™

Meet Millie! 🩷

Millie was rescued in La Paz, Mexico in early 2025 after being found tied behind a fence with a serious leg wound. After receiving the care she needed, this sweet girl made a full recovery and is now thriving in foster care in California.

Millie is around 7 years old and 47 pounds, she is house and kennel trained, cat and dog friendly, and loves everyone she meets. This sweet girl is a lower/medium energy pup who enjoys toys, naps on the couch, and being close to her people. While she can be a little shy at first, she warms up quickly and becomes the goofiest, most loving companion.

Millie would do best in a home with another confident dog to help her continue building confidence. She’s currently being fostered in Palm Springs, California and available for meet-and-greets throughout Southern California.

All of Saving Baja Paws dogs come with a fantastic flexible foster-to-adopt option. This is a unique opportunity that allows your family to make sure it a perfect match with your new pup.

Millie's adoption fee for Oregon, Washington, or California is $300USD. This helps us cover most of her vet and care costs incurred in Mexico, and the transport fee to bring our pups from Mexico.

Our paws are happy to announce that today our shelter manager Yukiko was invited to speak on the harmful effects of fireworks to local community memevers and local goverment officials. πŸˆπŸ• Every year pets and wildlife are negatively impacted for days while fireworks fill the air for hours at a time. Our goal today is to help educate these effects and help create laws prohibiting firework usage in neighborhoods around Baja Sur. 🐾 Rescue work is more than just saving abandoned and injured animals, it is also creating laws and protocols to protect them as well. β€οΈπŸΎπŸ•πŸˆ
