We're so excited to be playing a Winter Festival fundraiser gig for at M&M Marketplace in Hillsboro THIS SATURDAY December 6th. We'll be playing around 2:30pm with other amazing artists! Come down, bring your kids and support our immigrant community!

We're coming back to Foster for the at on Saturday, August 9th! We'll be playing around 5pm with other awesome acts and ! Come celebrate community, food and music! Free and all ages!

THIS WEEKEND! is going to be full of raucous, ridiculous fun! A free, family event celebrating community and bringing people together through music! We'll be there with about another 10 brass bands from around the PNW! We can't wait to see you there!

What happens when you combine q***r rage, a punk brass band and a jam band? DEATH BY BRASS!

Next Thursday, June 19th we are playing a very rare bar show with our friends from Seattle and PDX buds !

Brassless' cut will go to a local BIPOC nonprofit or directly to BIPOC people in need, in honor of Juneteenth. Come headbang and RAGE with us!

HONK! PDX is a local 501c3 non-profit organization that hosts a free, all ages, festival of brass bands from near and far. We've been deeply involved since the very beginning and can't wait to jam out with ya'll this summer! They really could use all of your support as grant funding becomes scarce. Please come and support a wonderful non profit and help them bring more free, accessible music to Portland!

Happy 3 year anniversary, Chaps!

In April 2022 I put the call out for a bunch of q***rs to come be in a brass band and play fun music at community events, protests and HONK! festivals. A collective of musicians answered the call and became Brassless Chaps. A name that came from a Dad joke because of course we have brass, ass, and sass!

My goal has always been to give people the space and the encouragement they need to break out of their comfort zone and do things they never thought possible. Making music accessible by being a community band for musicians of all levels and abilities is important. Playing music is freeing and supporting our community with it is instrumental to our happiness, our strength and our resilience. It's been an honor to watch people grow as musicians and as themselves.

We've had our ups and downs but I'm so incredibly grateful and proud of the folks who have stuck through it all. This community is so wonderful and truly understands the reasons we're here and why we do what we do. Music is joy. Joy is the fuel we need in order to do the work and make lasting change.

Thank you for your support, your dance moves, and encouragement! Whether you follow our IG or you're lurking on our email list, we're glad you're here. It will take all of us working together to spark the revolution. We'll bring the music.

Tomorrow, 1/20 we are playing at the MLK rally organized by with a March following after. The rally will start at 1pm at Peninsula Park. Show up to support your community in honor of Martin Luther King Jr., his legacy, and the ongoing fight for Black liberation.
