I’ve been dreaming about seeing Milford Sound in the rain since I first came here in 2016. When it rains, hundreds of temporary waterfalls appear, cascading down sheer cliffs from every direction. The low-hanging clouds, mist, and waterfalls turn the whole place into a surreal, moody scene that feels straight out of a movie.

I recently watched Dune 2 and have never felt more visually inspired by a movie. Although a lot of it was shot in Jordan and Abu Dhabi, it reminded me of my time watching the sun rise over the dunes in Saudi. What a special place.
