“My body is my laboratory.” The daring experimenter Dr. John C. Lilly dedicated his life to radical self-investigation and unlocking the mysteries of consciousness and communication. His research on the language of dolphins and whales – as well as psychedelics and sensory deprivation – inspired films like "Altered States" and "The Day of the Dolphin."
Narrator Chloë Sevigny guides us through the life of a determined scientist and his experiments into the psychonautical unknown.

Join us for A Juneteenth Evening Curated by Kalimah Abioto featuring film screenings, conversation, and more.
SEEDS is an intimate and visually poetic portrait of generations of Black farmers in the American South. The feature will be preceded by the 4 min film Superorganism Music Video ft. WRK! by Syon Davis.
Following the screening, there will be a discussion moderated by Kalimah Abioto featuring panelists Mirabai Collins, Director and Cofounder of Black Future Farms; and Anyeley Hallová, CEO & Founder of Adre Development Firm.
We’ll also have items for sale by vendors Primary Rituals, Landweaver, Black Future Farms, Sirius Star Farms, and tabling from The Kajani Collective.

This Friday we’re excited for our biggest night of the year, the Cinema Unbound Awards, honoring artists who redefine cinematic storytelling and media arts.
Honorees Mariah Pisha-Duffly and Thomas Pisha-Duffly are the creative duo behind the James Beard Award finalist Gado Gado and Oma’s Hideaway. Together they create community and camaraderie through their vibrant restaurants that blend tradition with innovation and focus on dishes that tell a meaningful story.

📢 Announcing the 2026 Sustainability Labs Fellows! We're thrilled to welcome this year’s fellowship recipients: Kamari Bright (Seattle), Peter Burr (NYC), Asuka Lin (Chicago), Mai Ide (Portland), and Veronica Graham (Portland).
The fifth annual program is dedicated to the holistic, long-term career and financial growth of mid-career storytellers. Focus areas will include individual, bespoke support for each artist on business plans, project and personal financial planning, creative brand expansion, and growth opportunities, as well as small group sessions on mental health, balance, and personal sustainability. The Labs will culminate by pitching to a wide variety of industry professionals at Wieden + Kennedy.

Michel Gondry’s THE SCIENCE OF SLEEP will be introduced by performance artist .K.Finn. Inspired by both the aesthetics and the wayward romance film, Sarah is presenting her show, “The Right Thing To Be Doing,” as a headlining presentation at the Festival of New Performance.
Join us before the film for a DIY craft activity and to preview the fantastical, handmade elements of Sarah’s show.
Before the film, Sarah will also present her short film, “Shiphead (or, efforts in boycotting my American body).”
