Goodness. Even though I didn’t get to be present and walk at the graduation ceremony I’m glad I ordered the regalia. 🎓 It’s a visual symbol of how hard I worked these last few years. I don’t know where this Masters in Arts Administration will lead me but I’m proud I ended with a 3.9 gpa —we won’t focus on the B in that one class… grrr— and a portfolio of projects and experience. Because my parents attended the same University (then it was a college) I was able to order the legacy stole. I didn’t expect to feel such an impact that I’m now part of their educational legacy. Here’s to the future and whatever it may bring, hopefully a job, but at the very least I’m grateful and proud of this accomplishment. 🤩

It’s so good to see my artwork and photography up in a gallery again. I love the Sidney Museum and Arts Association . It’s history, art, and community all together. If you’re in the Kitsap County area this is a place you must stop at!

10/10 I do NOT recommend having pneumonia.
I’ve been sick on and off for several months. Each time it resets my body. Each time I have to rebuild my energy and get my seizures under control again.
And most importantly not let depression win.
Those with , 😔
It’s lame. I have lots of plans. As Alexander Hamilton in the musical says, “there’s a million things I haven’t done but just you wait, just you wait…”
Doesn’t my body know that??
I want to be busy, like the bees, and get stuff done and then take naps in flowers. 🐝
Sigh.
I’ll rest this time but not giving up. Just you wait…

This is technically a work in progress and not necessarily done today, though I did make some changes to it. I’ve been interested in designing and selling cross stitch and embroidery patterns so this is a design I’ve been doing while exploring the process. I have many changes I’d still like to make, hence work in progress.

I took this photo while I was swimming in the lake.
A few days after this, the mountain on the right caught fire because of people lighting off fireworks.
So far it has burned over 400 acres.
I am angry and sad at humans for so many reasons right now.

I attempted to digitally draw lavender in an abstract way, intending to accept it as an experiment and share it, but I just couldn’t bring myself to accept the piece. However, I saw a lavender plant in my yard waving at me, so I took a photo of it, saying “hello.”
I like this.
