You'll be amazed how relaxing this rhythm becomes.

You'll start looking forward to sunsets as the perfect closure for your day.

God is our safe place, our refuge.

He knows our failures from today and the mistakes we’ll make tomorrow.

He frees us from the opinions of others and the worries of our heart.

He shows us how to receive abundantly, and how to make space for generosity, too.

Each day is a new grace, a new mercy to begin again.

This is the secret: Life is very hard and often tragic, and glimpses of beauty, joy, love, sunshine, anything good can remind you of what is also true… life is beautiful and God is kind.

Sometimes the little things feel like big things, especially when we feel bombarded with lots of little things. Sometimes we’re so stressed about bigger things that all it takes is one little mess-up or mix-up to push us over the edge or make us moody for the rest of the day. And then, of course, it’s even more irritating that it was such a little thing that set us off.

But maybe these little inconveniences are actually bigger than we think. They can be litmus tests, showing us where we put our hope and what we bank our worth on. How do you respond when you fail at something little? When you forget something? What does your reaction say about your heart?

I think God uses these moments to remind us who we’re not. We are not omniscient. We can’t solve all our own problems. We can’t even remember to do all the things we know we need to do, much less figure out what to do in tricky situations.

keep on keeping on.

Willing enough matters more than being good enough.

👇🏼👇🏼This! Reading, digging in, but LOVING it. It’s hard. Seasons get rough, life is “busy”, life is exhausting. But the Lord is faithful. I hope the next time you open the Bible you ask God, “help me love this, help me drink it in like water, help me eat this like my daily bread over eating up social media, Netflix, podcasts, even friendships, and relationships.”

women’s group meets tomorrow morning at 9am. We meet, we brunch, we taste and see that the Lord is Good. And tomorrow, we’re talking about Study and Meditation. We’d love to have you there!

Really vulnerable here but I am betting I’m not alone. So here goes….

I haven’t loved reading the Bible the last few years. It’s brought me so much grief that this past year I went to counseling about it.

Now I’ve loved prayer and feel very very close to God but when I would sit down with this book I’ve given my life to, it just felt like work and pressure.

I think because my daily grind and work is often sitting with this text and “producing”. Because of writing and speaking I spend a lot of time in the Bible but I wanted to love it again.

So I didn’t ignore it. I took months away from producing. I did soul work as to why and I asked God to reignite my passion for spending time in His Word.

New Year’s Day I was going through mail and I found a book I’d failed to open by called “52 Weeks in the Word”. It felt 1000 times simpler to me than most Bible reading plans.

So I sat down with it. Genesis 1. I can’t stop reading my Bible.

I want to read my Bible again! I am drinking it in! Im even ahead!

I stayed close. I read even when I didn’t feel it…. But I love that He also wanted me to heal and love it again!

And I do. And I am praying the same for you!

Don’t settle for apathy towards God or His Word. Be curious why… ask Him why?

And fight to revel and cherish Him and His Words again.

Heyyyyy . Heading home with a full and grateful heart. God moved big time as people ran to the feet of Jesus to give their lives to him! And to spend this weekend with my preacher girl, what a joy you are Kennedy Rose!

Praise God for this moment in history, to see the presence and power of God is accelerated, tangible ways. Thank you for rescue and healing.
