He was born January 14, 1983 to Jim and Connie (Sullivan) Courcier at the Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, IA. As we continue with uncertainty of summer events- we have decided to POSTPONE Chill on the Hill - Pleasant Hill, Iowa and Family Fun Fest until September 4th-6th. This event will take place all weekend long with a some of the same great Chill on the Hill features with some added bonuses of family events. Military Night is still happening, we are adding a local day and night and so much more! We will co-host the Family Fun Fest parade on Saturday September 5th with Pleasant Hill Lions Club.
There are still so many unanswered questions about this event. Make sure you follow us here for updates and pre-sale tickets.
We are so excited that we can still offer Chill on the HIll and Family Fun Fest, it just will look and feel a little different this year!

During these unprecedented times and out of an abundance of caution, the annual Youth Fishing Derby is canceled this year. While we are disappointed we will not get to enjoy this event with our community, we want to ensure we follow guidelines set by the CDC, WHO, Iowa Department of Public Health, and the Polk County Health Department regarding public gatherings. We hope everyone continues to enjoy the outdoors while social distancing.

Huge thanks to the Pleasant Hill Lions Club for their generous donation of nearly $4,000 to the Parks & Recreation! The donation will be used to replace the tables at the Youth Center.

Monday night our storage unit was broken into and the thieves stole over 30 fishing rods, a round pole holder and some of our prizes which are all used for our annual FREE fishing derby in June. We are hoping that if anyone has slightly used or old poles for kids to use and are willing to donate them, please drop them off at the Pleasant Hill Library. Thank you for supporting our Pleasant Hill Lions Club.
