Pleasant Hill Little League Baseball

It sounds crazy but we're starting to plan for the 2024 season! Registration opens January 1st which is only 90 days away (that's only 3 board meetings, if you're counting!).

We're looking for people to help out next year, if you're interested in helping out with any of the things listed below (or anything else!) get ahold of us here, or email [email protected]

Sponsorships & Marketing - Help grow our "brand" in the community and find local businesses to support the league
Event Planning - Plan Opening Ceremonies, tryout day, Sandlot day
Social Media - Work with the sponsorship/marketing person and help us run the league Facebook and Twitter accounts
Scheduling - Help us set up the game schedule, reschedule after rainouts
Field Maintenance - Altoona, Runnells and Mitchellville do all our own work. Help keep our fields looking great!

The Junior Team is on their way to Michigan to represent Iowa in the Juniors Regional Tournament!! Their first game is tomorrow at 11:30 am EST/ 10:30 am CST.

Tonight our 10's fell 9-1 to a tough North Scott team. We couldn't be more proud of these boys and these families! We know they'll be back next year to make another run for the championship at 11's.

We are getting two more fields remodeled at Sam Wise, so we'll be limited on field space which means we're limited on registrations also, so sign up early!

This is a very non-competitive individual sign-up league, we will not be doing any team signups or tryouts; the idea of fall league is to help prepare your player for the next level by getting them game reps and coaching for the level they will be playing at next spring.

This will be 8-12 games from late August (after the fair) to end of September.

We are selling silicone All-star bracelets. All proceeds from the sale of these bracelets will go to Coach Bradd Rife's family fund.

Coach Rife meant a lot to so many of our families and we think this is just a small way that we can help out his family at this difficult time.

The bracelets take 7 - 10 days to come in so you can pre-order yours now and we will contact you once they come in. In memory of Coach Bradd and in support of his family, we will have a couple fund raisers going on in Altoona this week.

We will have these helmet stickers for sale at our concession stand. $5 each (cash or card) and 100% of the money will go to his family fund. Thank you to Libby at 515 Creative Designs, By Libby who graciously printed and donated the stickers.

We will also be donating all of our concession stand profits for the week, so anything you spend at the Sam Wise baseball concession stand tonight will help out as well.

All fields are open this morning (05/06) and the field ribbon cutting for field # 4 at 10 o'clock is on as scheduled. Please stop out to help us give a big thank you to Polk County for the Grant to fix field #4 & the batting cage.

This last bit of rain did our fields in. The games tonight (05/05) are canceled as is the food truck.

All Games at Bondurant Little League are canceled tonight.

Canceled Fields are closed. All practices and games are canceled due to field conditions. Coaches, please work the other coach and our scheduler at [email protected] to find a makeup date and time that works for all.

Our field manager says these fields just aren't salvageable for tonight. As such, all games in Doanes Park scheduled for tonight (04/20) are canceled. We are working on rescheduling what we can to tomorrow and the rest to later in the season.

We are looking for concession stand workers. Please read below before signing up:

Your teenager (age 14 & up) can sign up to work in the concession stand for silver cord hours and/or payment ($30).

You can sign up as a volunteer or for payment ($30).

There is no limit to the number of shifts you can work HOWEVER, if you sign up and then no call, no show, leaving us short staffed you will not be able to sign up for any additional shifts. If you're on the schedule we are counting on you to be there.
