Doing something that feels scary to me - Yoga Anatomy Teacher Training.
I'll be honest, I took my first 200YTT (Hatha) back in 2020. I took a second 200YTT (Kundalini) in 2024. I have taken yoga for all courses, self-studied some bits and pieces further of yoga philosophy, and continued when able - taking yoga classes from folks I consider mentors to me. But - I still have rarely taught yoga myself.
Why might you ask? I feel incredibly underprepared / underinformed about the anatomy and physiology of yoga. None of my trainings did well at diving into this (many 200hr's don't, to be fair). For me, this is just an area that I feel is incredibly important for a yoga teacher to feel competent in and for me - I have never felt such.
But my oh my, I do have so many ideas (all the time) for classes I would love to teach some day. So, perhaps on a bit of an impulse or a nudge from the universe - I registered for a yoga anatomy course through yogarenew. 50 hours strictly focused on Yoga Anatomy - I am excited, but also terrified. This is content that I struggled with way back in school, so I'm looking forward to meeting it now as this version of me - but that still comes with slight terror. LOL.
Regardless, I am going to take this course. I should be done by August. At that point, I will re-assess how I feel about teaching yoga again. If I am not feeling ready to teach still, I will simply have more insight and knowledge for my own practice - no loss either way.
Though, I do hope this course in combination of additional intentional self-study, fills the gaps I have felt.
I'm getting out of my own way.
Why am I posting this to my Fernlight pages? Because Fernlight is more than a physical place - it's quite literally who I am, and I want to continue to build offerings and make art and do all the things to invite folks to explore with me where creativity and soul work meet. It's all part of my soul's mission, I know it.
Thanks for being along for the ride.
All my everything,
Bee

I painted this two years ago, it's been on my wall since, then the other day I changed it and am re-sharing it with y'all, but my chaos has taken over.
I was gonna re-record this cause it's all over the damn place, but that's how this painting feels to me and that's just who I am as a person sometimes so I decided to keep this as is.
I hope it at least gives you a chuckle today. ✨♥️
man, the number of times I've painted over a WIP entirely cause I had no idea what I was doing and ✨lost the plot✨ is insane
this show has a ridiculous grip on me, and I'm so grateful to share in this experience with millions of others who are obsessed.
this might be the first time I'm inspired to make fan art??? we shall see.
homie I'm self-taught. I absolutely love talking to people about art and painting with people, but I definitely don't know the "best" way to teach someone anything, so just... buckle up if you want to attempt to learn anything from me.
