TXAEYC recently released a new four-year report highlighting the impact of Books Beginning at Birth, a statewide early literacy initiative launched through the Texas Education Agency’s Texas Reading Initiative Birth to Kinder grant.
One number stands out.
117,308 children ages 0–4 have been served.
That means more than one hundred thousand young Texans building home libraries and early reading habits from the very beginning.
Through Books Beginning at Birth, TXAEYC has helped guide a statewide effort connecting families, early childhood providers, and communities around a shared goal: stronger literacy foundations for Texas children.
