Sports, action/motorsports or anything exhitibiting peak performance is within my focal range.

A few seconds earlier, everything was calm and controlled.
Then this.
That switch—from focus to full release—is something you can’t really teach. It just shows up in the moment.
Watching it through the lens, it’s one of the most interesting parts of these events. The contrast between total control and total intensity.
Curious what stands out more to people watching—
the quiet focus before, or moments like this?

This moment probably lasted a few seconds at most.
No big move, no crowd reaction—just focus.
Watching through the lens, these are the moments I’ve started paying more attention to. The calm before everything speeds up again.
I think they say a lot more about an athlete than the highlight plays do.
Curious what others think—do you notice moments like this when you’re watching, or do they get lost in everything else?

My computer was down for some time but we are back in action. Here are some more resting/candid images. These times between high action moments many parents are guilty for checking texts or reviewing their own photos and videos but can miss these times of focus or calm before the next storm. Moments like these.

Between moments of intense effort you will find moments of peace. Heres a batch of candids between such moments.

What a great weekend of competition at Estep's Elite Championships. I was fortunate enough to capture and witness several moments of athleticism and sportsmanship from the next generation athletes.

Getting ready to head into another competition filled weekend. I’ll have limited availability to capture some athletes showing off their skills and results of dedicated hard work with dreams of earning some new hardware. 🏅🏅🏅
