| Who We Are |
SOS Aid focuses on international humanitarian aid efforts. We serve to meet dire needs around the world through compassion-filled projects, by mobilizing and sending medical professionals and those with a heart to serve the poor on short-term mission trips to nations in the African continent. SOS Aid is legally governed by Mission SOS International, a non-profit organization based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.
| What We Do |
Through well trained teams, strong partnerships, and what we call "LoveDoes" projects, we provide medical assistance, dental care, eye care, clean water, clothes, food and more.
Medical: We organize medical clinics, provide medical supplies, and offer basic medical training to meet dire needs.
Vision: Vision impairment can impact a person’s ability to achieve in home, educational, and work settings. We have partnered with Mission Vision and others to provide eye vision exams, prescription eyeglasses and reading glasses, as a way to help make a better future for many adults and children.
Dental: Much of the world has limited, if any, access to dental care. As a part of our medical services, we mobilize dental professionals to offer basic dental care, extractions and dental hygiene instruction.
Water & More: We seek to meet high-priority needs in the countries we visit. Successful projects, like helping acquire desperately needed water by drilling wells in remote villages and providing water purification systems and technology to underserved populations. Our in-country assessment identifies the need for healthy food, clothing, school supplies, and more to help the poor and needy.
