The Bach Choir has commissioned an ALL STAR band for this weekend’s performance of “Queens”! Contracted by Paul Thompson, we have Scott Anderson on keyboard, Chris Thomas on guitar, Brian Stahurski on bass, Scott Boni on Saxophone and Bobby Kunkel on drums. We are ready to rock along with our guest soloists and artists at the Greater Pittsburgh Masonic Center! Tickets for Queens is selling out fast for this upcoming weekend, Saturday April 15 and Sunday April 16! Meet our two guest performing artists - Treasure Treasure and Deep Violet! They will be Mcing the performance and gracing us with their vocal talents. A five piece live band will accompany the choir as BCP sings the music of the great British rock band "Queen." This is a performance you will not want to miss!

Attending this weekend's performance? Here's some things to know:

ENTRY
- Doors open at 7:00PM on Saturday, performance starts at 7:30PM
- Doors open at 3:30 PM on Sunday, performance starts at 4:00PM
- Masks or proof of vaccination are NOT required, however if you think you feel a little sick or were possibly exposed, please wear a mask.

ENTRANCE
- There is ONE, front entrance to the East Liberty Presbyterian Church at 116 S. Highland Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15206.
- You may be dropped off at the pull-though driveway, however please DO NOT park here.
- We are performing in the Social Hall on the lower level B. There are two flights of steps that will take you to this level OR you may use the elevator. Please follow the provided signs. The church is handicapped accessible.

Tickets may be purchased on-site: $15 Student / $25 Senior / $30 Adult
- Cash (preferred) and credit cards accepted. Sorry, no checks.
- If you do not have a printed out ticket or confirmation and paid online ahead of time, no worries! We will have your name on a list or we can look you up in the computer.
- If you can, please purchase your tickets online ahead of time.

PARKING
Two parking lots are located on either side of S Beatty Street behind the library.
- There is also on-street parking surrounding the church.
- This is meter parking paid via kiosks - you do not have to pay after 6PM and Sundays are free.

BIG THANK YOU to all our volunteers that showed up this morning to help set up the Social Hall in the East Liberty Presbyterian Church for this weekend's performances. Our choir President, Wendy Arons, coordinated this event and is shown in the image below with choir and board member George Libby. We appreciate Paul Tellers for volunteering to draw up several renditions of the seating plan and for Paul, Beth, Eric and Stephen lending a hand. Bach Choir is truly a family that works together. The Bach Choir of Pittsburgh uses these funds towards our unique programming, hiring musicians to collaborate with us from our community, our Summer Sing Program that invites the public to sing with us and to keep the organization thriving and growing. This year, we are proud to announce our choir is back to an 80-person ensemble after downsizing during the pandemic. We are also excited to be able to provide paid internships for students to assist in production and managing our concerts, providing vital experience in a real-world setting.

We are about one week away from “KINGS - The Coronation Anthems of Handel & the Coronation Mass of Mozart”! Warren Davidson and a 24-piece ensemble from the Academy Chamber Orchestra will be setting a royal tone with us at the First Presbyterian Church in downtown Pittsburgh. Please join us in this historic and beautiful building that dates to 1905. The congregation began in 1773 and this is the fourth building to sit on the property, deeded by the family of William Penn. 13 out of the 14 stained glass windows are Tiffany glass, sponsored by notable families of Pittsburgh, including our very first mayor! Come a little bit early to the performance to scan QR codes by each window to learn more about them and to enjoy this magnificent space.
