A few pics from one year ago. POP just began. First bannering at the Arts Fest, the we tried Cornell Avenue Extension and had our first police encounter. Then to Greenfield Bridge, made a second banner and began scoping out the Chestnut Street Overpass in Edgewood. The order may be out of line but this was between 6/7 and 6/13/2025.
No official overpass adoptions yet at this point.

Indivisible Urgent Call to Action!
Contact Sen. McCormick. Tell him why he must vote NO on this ICE / CBP funding bill. Tell him to get to work FOR his constituents, to make life affordable and just.
Senator McCormick: Pgh 412-803-7370; DC: 202-224-6324
Suggested script in link in comment.
The voting on the ICE Funding Bill will begin tomorrow morning, and McCormick has still not said if he will be voting for it. The Senate has started voting on whether to hand $70 billion more taxpayer dollars to Trump’s mass deportation machine. Since January, we’ve blocked any further funding for ICE and Border Patrol, which are still sitting on tens of billions of dollars from last year’s Big Ugly Bill. But now Republicans are rushing to give them billions more, with no strings attached.
Senator McCormick needs to hear firsthand about the horrors ICE and Border Patrol are perpetrating in our communities. They’re caging our neighbors at Moshannon and other detention camps, tearing apart 100,000 children from their families nationwide and worsening the cost of living crisis by diverting billions to ICE and Border Patrol instead of doing anything to make life more affordable.
You can use Indivisible’s script (link in comment) to call Senator McCormick, and share why he must vote NO on this ICE funding bill.

Greenfield team putting together a banner onsite. It worked well, much better than stretching out over table trying to fasten the letters.
Join us every Monday 4:30-6:00 pm, great group of dedicated defenders of democracy, and we love meeting new people!
The resistance is working, BUT we need to keep up and hopefully engage others.

POP loves connecting with other organizations. Yesterday we helped Together with Trans Youth make a banner for the Pride parade.
We are hoping we might see it on the overpasses also in the future.
If your org would like to know more about Pittsburgh Overpass Project get in touch. We love meeting new people.
